Stormy salvo from Washington!
Republican firebrand leader and House Oversight Committee chairman James Comer has unleashed a bitter tirade against former US New York governor Andrew Cuomo. “He’s calling on Attorney General Pam Bondi to take the gloves off — and prosecute Cuomo for brazenly lying to Congress!”
⚖️“Liar, cunning and exposed!” – Comer’s charge
In his letter, Comer referred to Cuomo as a “walking example of corruption and deceit” and stated that he deceived the nation by concealing the reality of deaths in nursing homes during the Covid era. The Republican leader termed it a “well-planned conspiracy” and said it was time for the truth to surface!
Cuomo testified in his claim that he had no recollection of having written the report!
“In a bombshell twist, the New York Times revealed that Cuomo didn’t just see the report — he helped script it!
Was it an innocent oversight… or a deliberate act of deception?”
Cuomo’s side lashes out – “It’s all drama!”
His spokesman Rich Azzopardi called the whole thing a “worthless publicity stunt” and said that all this was a flop last year and is even more stale today. He described it as a move for political revenge.
But the game has changed – Republicans are in power now!
Comer is striking back, but this time with the force of power. Under a Republican government in the White House, he is set to boot Cuomo out of the New York mayoral race.
Justice Department silent – but will there be an explosion now?
The Justice Department has thus far said nothing about this issue. But the history of the Trump administration reveals that it will not hesitate to strike at its foes.
